Hi, 2023 gmc 2500 hd at4, service def system came on and serv engine light is on, def is half full , any suggestions?

I should of said this first, serv def system came on first with only 1 bar on the graph for def, I filled it and serv engine light stayed on, got home and truck sat for an hour, now no lights or anything is on, also the gmc app said the same thing now it says everything is good !! My bad !!

Have you ever replaced your MAP sensor? It's on top of the Y bridge. I would start with that even if it doesn't fix it. I replace mine once a year $50-60 worth of insurance I don't mind spending. You will only have one being a 2023.
Once you replace it, you should try to force a Regen and go on a 30 mile road trip or do a stationary regen.
If that doesn't work, well, it's going to get very expensive very fast. Once you're looking at the kind of money it costs to fix emission problems, I would personally take my truck out boating in red white and blue water. Come back lighter.

Ok, went to have it rescanned because the mileage i noticed was wrong on the print out they gave me !!!
New scan code is P0073

Replced sensor it was in the mirror, checked MAF sensor really gunked up, cleaned it with electric cleaner, part will be in tomorrow. Do I have to drive it for a while so light goes out ?
Yes, it might take a couple of key/drive cycles for the cel to go out.
My '23 has two maf sensors, though one is called a boost sensor that gm has been using since the '90's...
They are about 10 inches from each other. Top one has a red locking retainer and the "boost" sensor has a white locking retainer.

The light went out and I think it worked with cleaning it, still waiting for part !! Now this comes of and on "Poor quality DEF" !!!
