Hello all, I recently picked up a ‘22 refresh and have been installing a few modifications to the truck. One of those is purchasing a dash cam both front abs rear.
My intent is to tap into the fuses on the passenger side to run both the accessory and battery cable. I don’t want to tap into my mirror as I already have a Blendmount and a wire tap used to power my radar detector.
The issue I am finding is determining which fuse is powered on all the time and those that are only powered when the truck is running. I bought a circuit tester and with the truck off, every single one of my fuses is lighting up . I have no idea what I am doing wrong. Assuming it is something completely stupid on my part, but every single one of the fuses in my passenger fuse block are showing to be active without the truck running.
Anyone with a refresh who has done this could help tell me which fuse I should tap into, or help me diagnose what the heck I am doing wrong? The included photo is the tester I bought from my local Walmart. Each time I tested the fuses, the light would emit red, never green.
