Has anyone used clear protective wrap such as Xpel or 3M on their trucks? I am planning to wrap the front end and half of the hood - what did you do?

i did xpel full truck but i am way too ocd with my trucks

I have the front end and 18" of the hood going down to the fenders, first truck I did was a 2002 and the hood and lights are peeling away now after 20 years. (y)

I have had 3M yellow in the past. I have been using Xpel for 5 years and it is the best.

Xpel. Partial hood, entire front fascia, A-pillars, partial roof (just above top of windshield), headlights and fog lights, rear view mirrors, and the piano black trim between driver and passenger doors (simply so it doesn’t scratch up). Very happy with it - first “mod” I do on any new vehicle…particularly one costing this much!

I was quoted $1900 for full front end (everything below and around the grill, full hood, A pillar, and mirrors) Xpel Ultimate Fusion and $1975 for same coverage in Llumar Valor from a different shop.
I'm planning to go with the Xpel and the same place is going to do a full 10 year ceramic coating over the vehicle. Can't wait.

Xpel Ultimate is $1700 for entire front end, fenders, and hood.

I am thinking of doing the head and fog lights myself to save some money as I am pretty sure I can handle those and the door sills - anyone else do any of the work on these?

Personally, I have to think that PPE wrapping is a "practice makes perfect" kinda job . . . and I have zero practice, haha. I plan to just pay for the installation. At least if it goes wrong I'll have someone to frown at other than myself.

Had my truck now for about 18 months. As far as chips, the only piece I can see doing is the front bottom bumper. Everything else looks new in 29k mikes.

I'm right there with you.
