I uninstalled my chrome exhaust bezels and had them powder coated gloss black then re installed. They really fit the look of the truck better now that I have deleted all the badging/emblems.
Would like to see pictures of your truck

This was before I had the debadging started, with the chrome bezels and before ceramic coating. Currently only the large GMC letters remain on the multi-pro tailgate but those too are coming off eventually. Also have new wheels and tires on order.

I will try to get some better photos but it may not be until after our vacation trip.

Looks really good

Let us know how it holds up. I have the black ones that came on the truck and the coating is peeling off. I'm not sure if it caused by the temperatures it reaches during regen or not holding up. Thanks, Looks great..

Will do. I have the 6.2 so no regen on mine

I uninstalled the chrome tips ( pain in the ass ) sanded them lightly, painted them with high temp gloss black paint. 3 coats. Look sweet! I’ve used this paint before and it holds up great!

I have a pair of black stock tips I powder coated & high temp Low gloss black painted if anyone is interested. I went with a complete different exhaust & can't use them now.

Mine peeled in spots as well, after roughly 15k miles.

I know this is old but if you still have them I would be interested.

What color did you go with, they don’t look black, look like color of grill , isn’t it called Vader chrome, or black chrome ? Thanks

I left my exhaust tips on the truck and just taped off really well before sanding and painting with a flat black high temp exhaust paint. Did it the same day as I hyperdipped the badges.

For gas engine guys like me who did not know and looked it up lol.

DPF regeneration is the process of burning off accumulated soot from the DPF to prevent it from clogging and reducing the engine's performance.
