Center Console Organization

So, on my '23, under the center console armrest, is there supposed to be some sort of organization in there?
This one just has a big open are, ,like a bucket. It looks as if some file hangers would fit in there, it's that open.
Is it missing something? I would think there must be some sort of organization for it available..

I have a 21 Sierra AT4, bought it used and nothing in the center console....seems crazy to be just an empty hole. I picked up something like this on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B7L17B17?tag=at4forum-20

gm does have one available. But, believe it or not, it's too deep and doesn't allow both it and the safe to be used at the same time.

Besides, the Amazon ones are cheaper.

I use this one, as it is easy to put fingers underneath to lift out to gain access to the safe...

I recall having read about a safe someplace now that you mentioned it..
I'll look into that.
I was thinking of getting some plastic tackle box Inserts.

The new ones have an insert already, I would assume that they would fit but would check with dealer. The ones shown above from Amazon are similar and probably half the price.

I installed the same two products. However, the tray was a pain to lift out. I bought a round bar style kitchen drawer handle and mounted it in the center of the tray. It easily lifts out now with one hand.

Same with my 23, I bought a safe for it, fits perfectly and keeps it looking good and organized !! (a LOT cheaper on Amazon)
