Looking to see if anyone else has been having the same issue as me. I've had my '24 3500 for almost 2 months and when I place my phone (Samsung S22) on the charging pad, it turns on the screen, which isn't the issue. After the initial screen activation, it randomly (and frequently) turns on the screen throughout my drive. On any other charging pad, the phone comes on initially but turns off to never come on again. I've looked through the phone settings and can't find an option to prevent the screen from coming on. I'm open to hear options, suggestions or confirmation this happens to others. Thanks!

Could it be bouncing around, losing contact and regaining? I also have an HD, and the ride ain't no Cadillac. :)

Unfortunately, that's not it. I've specifically watched the charging indicator and it doesn't lose it's connection at any point. I even removed the little rubber pad to reduce the distance between the charger & the battery.

I think it is movement. My phone screen pops on and off. There is a setting in the phone about shake to wake or something. I don;t worry about it.

Typically, it doesn't bother me. It's when it occurs during the hours of darkness that it just simply becomes annoying. I'm not convinced it's the movement though. I've taken measures to isolate the phone, and still the same results.

I have an S22 Ultra and mine does this too. I believe it is because the phone charges when it is not at 100%, then quits charging when it is 100%. But then when it drops down to 99%, the charging pad kicks back in and the screen lights up when it is back to 100% charged. It did the same thing on my 2020 AT4, now I have a 23 AT4X and still does it. Just not as blatant in your face on the 23 AT4X as the phone sits underneath the arm rest, whereas on the 2020 AT4 it was in the flat charging cradle more in sight.

Agree on the 100% deal. However, I can take my phone at 100% charge and put in the truck and it does the thing within minutes. Not to mention, when I take 12+ hour drives where it stays on the charger the majority of the time and it still does it...there's something going on.

Yeah, that's what I mean. I didn't explain properly enough likely.

I think it is the phone going from 100%, which stops the charging, to 99% which starts the charging, then when it gets to 100% again it turns the screen on. I think it is a phone thing with the Samsung S22 Ultra (and probably other Samsung phones), not a problem with the truck charging pad.

I think you need to go to settings, system, gestures, and turn off lift to wake. Also , read Samsung has an air awake. I can't confirm that one. Just turned off lift to check phone and will test later.

I searched through all of my settings on my S22 Ultra. Couldn't find anything about waking the screen upon charging completion, or anything similar. I do think the display comes on when the phone gets to 100% charged. I think that is the reason for the screen waking briefly while in the cradle from time to time. It is a tad annoying, but not a big deal for me. I don't think it is an issue with the truck charging cradle.

So here is what I think is happening. I just charged my phone (was only at 97%) on a wired charger. It got to 100% but the display did not come on. When I unplugged the wired usb c charger, the display came on to the lock screen, just like it does with our trucks. What this tells me is that when the truck charging cradle senses the phone is at 100% charge, the cradle shuts off charging and thus the phone lock screen display comes on.

I was hoping this was the solution, but I already have the lift to wake turned off.

Definitely agree it's not the truck. What's perplexing me is I added a charging pad to my last truck and use the phone in the same manner and it did not turn on like it does in this truck.

Now this seems like a logical explanation. The charger I added to my last truck was wired, so this theory seems legit.

I turned off lift to wake and it worked for me....Now I cant see my screen when in office without unlocking. Did you look for the Air wake setting? I am on a Pixel 6 not a Samsung
