Does anyone have an idea for installing a handheld CB coax cable? I don't want to drill in the roof. NO WAY. I have been using a magnetic antennae and running the coax through the slider widow. Not the most efficient process. I have searched for a plug going through the back wall of the bed, but have not found anything. I don't it to be permanent, just when I need it. I want to use a firestick 2 foot antennae. There must be smarter people that me on here

I don’t know all the grommets in the trucks but there are pass throughs in the fire wall if you wanted to go through there, then along the frame and up between cab and bed. Some zip ties and a long cable. Also there are louvre air pass through behind the rear seats, allows air to escape the cab. Would be fairly easy to remove your seat back and check that out.

There are grommets in the cab floor also. But would require plastic floor trim to be removed.

Can't you leave the cable in place and just remove the aerial?

There are thru-the-glass CB antenna mounts available (stick-on), but the wattage loss is considerable. Your mag mount is the best option, IMHO. And try to center it on the roof for the best pattern.
