Is there anyone familiar with the snap fastener industry used on the carpeted inserts used on the floormats? I have no idea what to use to cover the snap faster sockets.

I would like to use caps to cover said sockets to keep small rocks/salt out of them when running in the winter. Any help would be appreciated.

Show me and I might be able to make a solution for you....either out of acrylic or 3D printed.

Try durasnap upholstery buttons on Amazon. I have them at work and can test them Monday to see if they are compatible. I have actually been meaning to do this myself. I'll get back to you with pictures on Monday to ensure proper fit before you order.

Thank you for the name. This turned up searching upholstery buttons. Just have to measure the male end to see if the 3/8ths will work.

I will wait till you respond.

The buttons I tried are too large (almost 1" in diameter) to fit without modifying the treads in the mats. They snap in but don't sit flush. They are vinyl so I wasn't going to use those particular covers anyway but I wanted to see the fit. They do measure 3/8" inside diameter. My only concern about the link you sent is that the measurements show outside diameter as 3/8".

Just an update on the second link I posted.

Fits just exactly as I was after. Doesn't set up to catch your boot, blends into looking like they aren't there, and easy to make...

Until the next time, keep your stick on the ice.

Just to confirm, is this what you purchased to cover the carpet inserts? Thank you very much. Brandon

No, that is the first link I posted. With Adams help, I found the second link I posted to be the correct size. I will go back and edit my post, as it's confusing with both links saying 3/8ths.

Thank you for investigating! Looks like this size is what is required. I have a local car upholstery gal in town that I have used before. I will stop in with a carpet insert and see if she might have anything that would work.

Thanks for your time.
This set on amazon has like 173 pieces…can I just buy like 8 from you? Lol. But seriously. Just need enough for the two front mats.

I just made some plastic ones that snap on and can come back off if you want to put carpet back in. I’ll have them for sale if you want to message me. Putting them in my truck now. I think they may blend better than the metal ones. And I can send a pack of the right amount not paying $25 for stuff you’ll never use!
