Hey everyone, I have a 22 refresh with the short carbon bed and the Bakflip X4S tonneau cover. I'm trying to figure out a way that I could mount the Yakima Overhaul HD rack without removing the tonneau.

Is anyone aware of a t slot rail system that can be mounted via the stake pockets on the carbon bed? So far Adarac is the only company I've found with something similar but their rail system seems to only be compatible with their racks. I'm primarily interested in the Yakima rack for the vertical adjustability.

I spent quite a bit of time looking for the ideal solution for my '22 refreshed CarbonPro that would give the most flexibility and ended up going with the RetraxPRO XR cover with the built in rails. I have the Yakima HD rack installed (with the custom fit mounting pads that match the profile of the rails) - it looks and works great. The only real downside is the size of the canister in the front of the bed. Also, since it is a rolling cover it freezes up in winter making it impossible to open without thawing it out.

Good luck finding a solution. The CarbonPro bed throws makes it hard to find compatible accessories.

Any pictures of your set up? About to order the RetraxPro XR and the Yakima HD rack here.

Sorry that took a bit... The Yakima HD rack is off for the winter but I found a couple of pics from last fall with my iKamper 3.0 RTT. The others are just the cover - it fits really nice and looks great.

Just traded my 2018 Silverado for a 2023 AT4 with CarbonPro. I loved the Retrax XR rack on my Silverado and I will be putting on e on my new ride. Highly recommended

How are you liking the Bakflip X4S? I had the first 2 Bakflip designs on a previous truck, but each only lasted 2-3 years? Looking for something that will go on carbon pro and still provide security.

I'm loving it but have only had it for a few months so can't speak to the longevity. It feels very sturdy and plenty secure, plus it looks great. It's very easy to roll up and latch against the cab when I need to haul something large.

Anybody find a solution here? I’m currently also looking for the same set up except with a revolver x4s.

I'm wanting to install the Yakima HD rack on my 2023 AT4 w/carbon pro, but haven't been able to find the custom fit mounting pads you mention. The Yakima website indicates the Overhaul is not compatible with the CP. Do you have a link or info on where to get the mounting pad kit?

The mounting pads are specific to connecting the Overhaul to the RetraxPRO XR bed cover and were included with the Overhaul towers. Here is the link:

I'm not sure if anything is made to mount them directly to the carbon pro bed.

I am looking into one now by Overland Ruff Racks that seems to be mounted in the bed holes on top. https://overlandruffrax.com/products/chevy-coloradod this is the cut sheet for the colorado but it shows the method of connection. I am going to drive over there and see if I can talk to someone there. Stay tuned

Ok. I went to visit Overland Ruff Racks today (6/25/2024) and they DO HAVE A RACK SYSTEM THAT FITS THE CARBON PRO BED. It uses the stake bed holes which puts the system farther outside on the bed rail. I have a 5' 8" bed and their system works on all bed lengths. It looks like it will fit without removing the bakflip but I doubt the backflip will function with the rack on. https://overlandruffrax.com/ They are selling a lot of racks with the tonneau as part of the system. Check it out folks!
