Build Status and after...

Question for the group - how long is the wait time from the 4200 (shipping) code to actual delivery at the dealership (which I believe is the 5000 code)? My truck is up in Michigan sitting in a yard and I was wondering what comes next? The dealer showed me where it was actually parked at the moment...which I thought was pretty cool!

Any thoughts?

Don't want to bum you out and things hopefully have changed. I read that some trucks took longer to get delivered than it did to be accepted and built.

Granted, this was when we were hearing about "trucker" shortages. I haven't heard anything recently about the "trucker" shortage, so maybe everyone became a trucker.

I think it's out of gm's hand and your dealer now. For you, hopefully it will roll in soon. It was always in the back of my mind every minute of the day waiting on dealer delivery that..."Hell, wife and I could drive over there, pick it up and be back by now!"

Waiting sucks.

Thanks! Just checked with GM Chat and they said pretty much the same thing. I'm in Indiana, so it would be nothing to drive up and get it...but that's a no-no!

Good news! My 2024 3500HD AT4 arrives at the dealership today!! Going to pick it up tomorrow. Can hardly wait!

Awesome! How long from the time GM accepted your order, until it was built or arrived at dealership?

I was able to work with the dealer and submit my order toward the end of January. @gemarsh was right, however, it went from 1100 to 3800 fairly quickly...the wait was when it sat in the yard up in Flint.

Ok, Thanks for the info. My 2024 2500HD AT4 order was accepted on 3-29-23 but no build date yet....
