I was thrilled to find out that someone backed into my Yukon and cracked the light as well as damaging the rear bumper facia. I have word that you must remove the facia in order to replace the tail light. Anyone have experience in this on the 21-23 Yukon AT4’s?

Specially, I have a 2023 Yukon XL AT4 5.3L. Here’s a pic of the sadness.

Just to close the loop, after tearing out the interior panels to find that it wasn’t necessary, simply use some plyers to remove the pin on the tailgate hydraulics (circled) and pop it off and let it hang. Then remove these two panels (just pop clips, the arrow’s are pointing to them) and you have access to the bolts to remove the tail light assembly!

Only 10 minute job once I figured that out. No need to remove anything in the interior or even the bumper facia (which someone said I had to do). Hope it helps someone!
