Brand new & puked oil (the ongoing saga)

I brought my brand new 2500 AT4 home last night. This morning when I went outside I saw a wet spot on the driveway.
It's oil; all blown down the underside of the truck. The dipstick is reading very low.
I never got any warning inside, but now I'm wondering if I've screwed my engine by driving it home with a potentially low level.

Edit: after watching a couple vids online it seems that level-wise I'm probably not dangerously low. It's down at the bottom of the hatch marks, which GM says to add 1 quart. Still going to have it looked at by my Dealership. Color me disappointed.

Dealer called and said it's a "galley plug" that must have been defective / broken. Said oil level didn't get low enough to be an issue.
Unfortunately, he said the part and replacement takes 2-3 days.

Anyone have an idea or picture of what this "galley plug" may be?

Galley plugs and freeze plugs, basically the same thing. It blocks off a hole in the block that is not needed or used.

You should tell the dealer they have to pay to clean up the driveway.

You should tell the dealer they have to pay to clean up the driveway. Muriatic acid and a pressure washer took care of it. Still without my truck though.

Update: Dealer is still awaiting the gallery plug. It's been expedited at GM is all they can tell me.
A $5 part and we sit. Dear God, please send me an owners survey about now.

The dealer sent me a diagram showing the failed part (part #11611991).

Several decades ago, we were driving from London (U.K.) to New Delhi India just for adventure in a 1968 Ford Fairmont Station Wagon (I drove the entire way except the English channel crossing); somewhere in in the middle of the Turkish desert on top of hill, a similar plug covering the engine coolant jacket blew off and a bunch of steam emnated from the hood. Due to extreme luck being on top of a hill, we coasted the next mile or so down the hill right into a village square, into a car mechanic shop. The mechanic immediately identified the hole location, took measurements with a caliper and off he went to a machine shop to have a new plug fabricated. He was back within the hour, knocked the new fabricated plug into place, refilled the radiator and we were on our way. That was a permanent fix, never gave me trouble again. We were happy campers.

Got the call this morning that it's fixed and ready for pickup. Drove up to get it and brought it home.
As soon as I got out I looked underneath and...oil again. I am so pissed at this point.
