I am looking to purchase a 2025 3500HD AT4. Question I am having is can you prgoram the brake controller for hydrollic brakes. My 2015 I had to put a new brake controller on. The Fords you can program the profile for electric or hydrolic when you setup your trailer for towing. Can anyone confirm this for me. I test drove one today and in the trailer setup I don't see an option for this.

Thanks

All my reading says the IBC will adapt to EOH brakes. I've also read some people having issues due to voltage fluctuations.

The brake controller can operate electric-over-hydraulic (EOH) brakes that use an electric motor to apply hydraulic pressure. Just be sure to set it up for the correct brake type during initial setup using the digital display.

The dealer should be able to verify for you

This is from hydrastar: Hydrastar® 2024-2025 GM vehicles with Factory Integrated Trailer Brake Controllers may encounter a compatibility issue when towing trailers with electric brakes or Electric Over Hydraulic Brake (EOHB) systems. This issue can result in a fault message, indicating disabled trailer brakes or a service requirement for the

I have a 24 and my boat trailer will throw this code every once and awhile. Trailer has a Hydrastar EOH system installed. At first I thought it was the on board battery for the system but when checked it showed the battery was fully charged. Guess I'll have to delete the current setting and start a new one and double check that I select EOH braking system. Thought I did that to begin with though.
