Just purchased a 2022 AT4 with the 6.2. I knew this when I purchased, that the exhaust was loud and could be corrected.
To note this is not a complete Borla system, guy before me put just the Atak muffler on. No drone, just too loud.
So my question to the forum, after talking with Borla swap the Atak with a S-type or something else?
Don’t want to put complete system on at this point. I don’t want stock sounds, just not the Loud piss of my nice neighbors type sound.
Borla suggested p/n 60679 for the S-Type muffler only or the p/n 60680 with the Atak still there to tone it down some (but still may be to loud)

I’ve got the full borla true dual s type system and it’s to loud on cold start, sometimes embarrassingly so but damn it’s perfect idling after the engine is warm and under load. I’ve remote started when people were standing near the truck and they actually jump scare smh.

Agreed with Pingbling. The S-type exhaust on my 6.2L was obnoxiously loud during a cold start, but everything else about it was perfect. I think I need another 6.2L...

Thank you both on the S-type. Other than the cold starts, how is it on the highway?
I may just keep the Atak on and add a resonator.

I had no complaints about how it sounded on the highway, whether driving empty or towing. Just a nice rumble that you could easily drown out with your music if you wanted to.

The Atak I can definitely hear on the highway, have not towed yet, but I’m sure the wife will not be ok with it.
Anyone know if a Atak with a resonator might help?

Coming from a catless supercharged 5.0 the only thing keeping me from going to an aftermarket exhaust is the cold starts. My neighbors are probably pretty happy with my active exhaust being in normal mode when i'm at home. I accidentally started the car in sport mode first thing last week and heard it from my kitchen through the walls where i don't hear anything in normal. I wish there was a borla active exhaust option. Or one of these exhaust companies needs to trademark a cold start silent mode lol.

My 2024 AT4 stays in Sport Mode. I rarely ever use Normal, or what I call Deer Hunting Mode. The only time that I use Normal mode is during deer hunting season when I want to be a little more stealthy. ;)

Mines a 2022 maybe they made a change. (For the better) if you ask me….changing it every time is no fun.
Any different in MPG in sport mode? Or if any who cares🤣

I haven't been able to tell any difference. If anything, I think I get better gas mileage in Sport mode, which doesn't make sense.

I have a trip set from when i bought the car and when i put the dfm disabler in. As of now the DFM disable trip has slightly better mpg. On my drive to work the sport mode is also the same if not slightly better.
