I wasn’t a big fan of the stock soft suspension so I bit the bullet and did the Billies with Rough Country upper control arms. It was a bit stiff at first but once broken in the ride, handling and performance is outstanding, mine was $2600 all in and I would consider it money well spent.
Top clip on the 6112’s leveled it out perfectly, next stop 35’s when the stock ones are used up.

Looking good. I'm waiting for my 6112's to come in.. Should be next week hopefully.

I was considering going the 6112/5160 route a while back. The shop I went to told me if you want to see a real difference you should go with the Fox 2.5's. Between the Fox's, new control arms, Method wheels and new tires I was getting near a $10000 upgrade. Too rich for my blood. I'll take another look at the Bilstein's

Yeah those fox 2.5's are no joke. I wanted to wait and get them, but for what I do, which is city driving and some highway drives, I don't think they are worth it.

My 6112s/5100s are going in as I type. I did ICON UCAs. Shock Surpkus did not have all the pieces to assemble them at their highest setting so my suspension guy gets to use the spring compressor. Those Bilstein springs are no joke. Heading to the mountains in 3 weeks so hope to put them to good use.

Wow. I was going to buy those from Shock Surplus fully built at highest setting just to avoid having a shop do it. That's disheartening news. I plan to install them myself with new UCAs and wad hoping an outside shop would only need to do the alignment.

I was just on the website and it shows approximately a 3 week lead time to build these at the highest setting.

They told me 3 weeks as well and after 2.5 weeks I called for an update and they said they did not have a build time as they were having troubles sourcing the top hats for the struts. They couldn’t give me an approximate time so I had them shipped unassembled and had the shop put the springs/struts together. They quickly refunded the money even before shipping.
Just picked my truck up and have about 1” of rake now. I have the 3.0 which might not have the same lift as the 6.2/5.3. I am 38 7/8” to the underside of the plastic trim on the wheel well. This was measured on factory wheels and tire sized. I measured through the center cap of the wheel for reference.

Yeah I'm already at 3 weeks and they haven't said a word to me. I called and asked what they ETA was, the lady just said well it's barely been three weeks, we don't have an update yet so you will need to contact our warehouse where they kit these are put together. I asked for the number and have called 3 times and they haven't called me back yet. :cautious:

Wow. Ok. That sucks, but thank you for sharing. Hopefully you get an actual answer very soon!

Available on Ebay. Can have them adjust circlip position too!
Worth a shot. I reached out to another retailer but would only communicate via text and their wording left me feeling like I was dealing with foreign customer service. It was at that point I had Shock Surplus send the unassembled 6112s to me. My best communication with Shock Surplus was via email off the paid invoice. Phone calls were never returned.

I'll have to message them via my invoice. See if I can finally get a response.
