So, it kind of annoyed me the stake pocket didn't have a plug/cover like some other trucks (Ford) so decided to design and 3D print some of my own.

Printed with PETG so should be weather safe. Friction fit into the plastic of the bed rail cover. We'll see how well they work long term but looks much better than the hole in the bed. Couldn't quite match the surface texture of the rest of the plastic, but looks good enough.

Those look super sweet! They look like they are meant to be there - from the factory! Very nice job with them 👍

Thanks guys! Only took 6 iterations of rapid prototypes to get the fit I wanted, which isn't bad.

I have ordered some ASA and try and get a little more matte finish. The shiny finish of the current cover is a combination of being printed in PETG and the surface finish of the build plate. ASA is a bit harder to print(requiring high temperatures and enclosed print chamber) but may result in a more matte finish meaning a closer match to factory color. To get the texture closer to a perfect match will be more difficult, but its not too far off now.

I may try to instead match the kind of fishscale/carbon texture of the bed side cover instead...but that will take some tweaking to get right.

Did you or would you be willing to share the stl? I'd love to print one myself :)

I've been using thingiverse to post stuff I make.
