I own a 2023 AT4 2500 and am in the process of purchasing a new toy hauler. I intend to use lithium batteries as a primary power source with an onboard generator for backup/charging. From what I can tell, the main battery is not isolated so that I run the risk of depleting the starter battery if I do not remember to unplug the 7 way connection while camping. I have seen elsewhere on this forum an auxiliary battery hookup with an isolation switch added for this reason. Can someone please confirm my understanding is correct, and that I do need to be concerned with drawing down the starter battery if I forget to unplug the trailer from the truck? Thanks!

No one has answered? Did you find a solution? It seems to me that one can setup disconnect box downstream of the 7-way, but how is remembering the flip the switch different from remembering to disconnect the 7-way? Not worth the trouble. You might do clever things with diodes so that your Li battery/generator actually charges the starter battery, no switches to remember, but I think adding that complexity and failure point is much worse than simply posting a sign at your generator that says "Disconnect 7-way!!"
