I recently ordered an MX4 for my 2021 with the carbon pro bed. I was told as of December 14th, 2020 they have made this cover specifically for the carbon pro beds which comes with everything to install it properly and not having to do any cutting, etc to it. I have not received it yet, however I was sent the instructions on how to install it that way I could get an idea of what to look forward to when it does arrive. Anyone interested in these instructions please let me know.

Love the cover, have you noticed any water leakage issues? I am in the market for purchasing a cover and cant decide which one to go with, but the MX4 does look nice.

the only time it has leaked is when im washing it and the hose is right under the tail gate. I had some water in the corners of the bed right next to the tail gate.
im going to buy the rubber seal that gm makes for it.

The mx4 is really tight when compared to others. Mine only has minor leaks at the front corners and then only from commercial car wash. I could fix it but just isn’t bad enough as yet or annoying enough.

Nice! i have this sitting in my garage right now awaiting my 22 refresh. I want to ecco a previous poster. Any heads up you can give us about install pain pointS?

I read that there is a seal strip you are supposed to put on the part of the bed that is close to the cab and it does not stick because of the spray in liner. Some were saying to actually stick that piece to the cover instead of the bed rail to accomplish the same thing.

That’s true to a certain extent - that will also solve the problem of misalgnment. Depends on how you work and weather you can make yourself go slow enough to take the time to do it right. If you are as anal as me you wont have much problem.

Clean clean clean with alcohol then use an adhesive accelerant. The seal tape that comes with it is probably 3M so a product like
3M Adhesion Promoter , 4298UV
be sure you are right this stuff does not come off.
I had to use this stuff to get the 3M Velcro to stick down when i installed the bed rug (Which I highly Recommend, by the way).

There are 6 clamps ( 3 per side) be sure to everything is lined up when these are installed . Tighten them a bit then bang the top down with your fist ove the clamp area to set the top then finish tightening.
Work from front to back.

NOTE: the tailgate will not close easily unless the rear panel is NOT LATCHED (this may vary fro truck to truck)

Have fun

I have that and it's awesome. My only issue now is that I've also installed the Real Truck Elevate sliding ladder rack. The Bakflip is still nearly water tight (If i add some more seals it'll be fine), but now, when folded all the way up to the cab, it is about 1/4" too high. It now doesn't fit under the center brake light, and rests right on the cameras which was sure to break them. The pads barely touched the glass now. I've added some additional thicker pads to alleviate that issue and now breakage is no longer a worry.

The problem that remains is that now the bed view/cargo camera is blocked by the folded up tonneau. The rear view mirror camera is just high enough to not be effected, and it's view is unhindered. I'm thinking of cutting away a small notch for the bed camera. I'm just concerned about being able to do so without compromising the integrity of the civer too badly. Oh, well. My issue.

Overall, without the addition of the rack, the MX4 is just fabulous.
