Back of 7 way connector

I just followed the look back under the bumper and tapped into the wire and taped it back up. No need to remove the plug.

It should come off similarly to any automotive connector with a red safety that has to be moved then a tab pushed in and remove. I believe the 7 pin connector is standardized among manufacturers, I can say that Jeep and GM are the same. I would never cut into factory wiring when it is easy and cheap to get an expander to allow more connections.

Thanks. That's what I was wondering but couldn't see the tab very well when I got under the truck so thought I would ask.

I was wanting to use this version to make it easier.

Thought I could also mod it to connect pins 3 and 4 so my camper backup camera stays on all the time too.
That harness will not work on the T1's. All circuits are "dead", 'cept for the 12+.

You'll need to use this harness with the light...

I tried an adapter that goes between the harness and the bumper plug for a blade light and my truck thought I had a trailer. Great idea, but the computer is too sensitive.
