I bought the AEV brackets for the baja designs pods to go in the AEV bumper. Has anyone done this modification yet? I'm not sure where or how to wire it in with these led taillights. I really just want them to come on when in reverse. I'm not opposed to having a separate on/off switch.
I also bought the westcott designs lightbar for the front bumper. Once it arrives I'll have to figure out how to wire them in. There will be 5 lights up front.

I have and highly recommend them. I just wired mine up to my auxbeam switch panel. I know thetr have been some on here that have wired them to the reverse lights though. You can review my build here.

Welcome.

Or get this look if going for amber. I built my own custom remote switch; others have wired to reverse lights, used a garmin switch or an auxillary switche.

Thank you that looks like a good way to go for an overlander since it will attract fewer creatures...
I installed these primarily to serve as high power rear fog lamps to be switched on only during extreme fog conditions; secondary use, amongst other uses, as a powerful work area area light behind the truck for attaching tow ropes, lowering the spare etc. or while loading/unloading in pitch dark etc.

wired my AUX REVERSE lights (welded bracket and mounted on sides of hitch receiver) to the wiring harness on the rear tail lights...what i haven't checked, is if they come on with the rear cargo light switch, and they provide 10x's more light compared to stock on pitch black country nights without having to flip switches or even run the wiring for one. pretty simple to wire.
