AT4HD Thunderstorm Blacked-out

Hi, I'm Schlubberger
Traded our 19 Denali HD for a 24 AT4HD a couple weeks ago. It has since had a PPF bra, ceramic coat, black badging and black Recon wheel arch lights installed. Favorite thing so far is how amazing the ride quality is on gravel roads. We have 110 acres about 25 miles out of town that we visit most every day, and I'm just blown away by how quiet and comfortable this truck is for our usual route. Also have an 11 2500 HD SLT gasser set up as our plow truck out there (long driveway), and much as I love my old truck, the difference is night and day.

Looks great! I waffled between a Denali Ultimate in sterling or the AT4 in grey, but ultimately the interior of the AT4 won out. I picked up the blacked out Duramax badge (that I had installed with the badging replacement, and the proceeded to just stick it over the top of the chrome one, not replace it... grrr) and even showed my commitment to blackout sparkle motion by changing the chrome lug nuts to a black locking set.

Our truck looks similar. I blacked out the hell out of it to finish with these wheels. Not my favorite because of the aluminium on the spokes but the offset was exactly what I wanted. Nice truck buddy

The ones on the truck were part of a complete set from eBay. They’re replacement emblems, not an overlay. Good quality too. I didn’t use the replacement front emblem because I ordered the backlit one from 404 parts. That just arrived, so I'm hoping to install it this weekend.

Nice, eBay stuff is hit or miss, so I'm glad to hear yours were good quality. What part of the PNW are you in? I might be interested in taking the front emblem off your hands if @L5P doesn't want it.

I agree. I look for eBay seller volume and ratings. Then I look to see if the people writing reviews appear to be native english speakers, as opposed to BS fabricated Chinese reviews. That improves your eBay odds slightly, but it’s still hit or miss.

I’m happy to send both emblems out to whoever can use them.

My illuminated front emblem came with a matching emblem for the tailgate — which I didn’t need because I’d already installed the full eBay set for all but the front — so I have an extra front and an extra rear. I’m not sure that’s much help for most guys, because most want everything to match, and I haven’t seen the other/side/sierra emblems sold separately. If you want to remove all of the emblems except the big front and rear “GMC” emblems this is a good solution.

Wow - blacked out the hooks, and even the red 4s! I was looking at changing the red bits to blue (getting the recovery hooks powder coated), but bumped up against 'the look' from herself. Figured it's not worth it, and I'm good with how it looks now. I bow down to your commitment to blacked out. Your truck looks great!

Gents; all of your trucks look absolutely beautiful !! You guys are killing me... I'm trying to hold out as long as I can, as incentives up here in Canada aren't the greatest right now. Keep the pictures coming and keep up the good work with the custom touches, ya'll have very good taste adding those special touches

Don't blame you. My son-in-law who lives in BC, skipped GMC due to lack of incentives and loan rates and went with a rival brand. Having said that, all his friends and neighbors drool over my truck when I visit them in BC.

Nothing blacked out here except side marker lights.

Can you share more info on your fog lights and how they are installed as well as the mud flaps?

Where did you find the black version of the Duramax emblem, and how well does it fit over the OEM emblem? I haven’t seen one in person and i haven’t for them on eBay.
