AT4 vs Trail Boss

New to anything GM, while looking at new trucks I noticed that the Chevy trail boss seems to have more ground clearance and taller than the GMC AT4.

Can someone explain why the difference?

I'm not sure that's correct. Everything I've been reading says they both have a 2" lift over the standard ride height which would make them the same. Are you sure you aren't thinking about the ZR2?

I believe there are two different trail boss also, one a lower trim, other equivalent to AT4.

Custom and LT. You cannot option out the Chevys like the GMCs. It's pretty lame.

I was deciding between a Trail boss LT with 6.2 and leather vs an AT4 with a 6.2. It became an obvious decision. I love my AT4.

Same. AT4 is luxurious on the inside and still rugged on the outside.

It’s an illusion. Also 18s vs 20s, step bars (different kinds and none at all), different wheel wells all visually impact perceived clearance and height.

That's what I love. I came from a Denali. It was too blingy.

I prefer the AT4 over the TB. My 6.2 TB was a beast and had every option available…but it was a 21 not a refresh. The interior of the AT4 blows it away. Granted the LZ0 doesn’t have as much get up and go as the 6.2…but the mileage makes up for it!

i had a 2008 avalanche ltz that i special ordered and received in 2007. 66k miles and while i loved the luxury side of it i wanted something more rugged on the outside. the at4 is the perfect truck for that. i like the interior better then the base denali (ultimate is very nice).

Sad they quit making the Avalanche. I owned (2) and loved them. I was also bummed when they stopped production on the Zr2 (small) 2 door Blazers. I owned (2) of those as well.

The avalanche was a great vehicle. The factory bed cover and mid gate were genius. Avalanche has reached cult status. I listed it on marketplace and had it sold in an hour (Took that evening until the guy came and picked it up). I had 400 views and several people contact me throughout the day with several being from out of state. I knew it would be an easy sale but didn’t think there was that many out there looking. 2008 66k miles and in very good garage kept condition. Dealer offered 10k on trade and I sold it for 16 on marketplace.
