Been looking to purchase a new truck for awhile now. Finally test drove an AT4 1500 yesterday and was fairly impressed. Curious as to how often GMC redesigns/updates their line up ? I see the 3.0 Duramax got updated, however is the 1500 due for a redesign for 25’? Changes from 23’ to 24’ seem very minimal. I would most likely hold off for another year if supercruise will be an option. Would be a nice feature here in MT.

‘26 is next cut on the platform for 1500. However with the force reductions if the truck is selling well I could see them squeezing it till ‘27 model year.

3 months left in 2023. With plant stoppage going on as we speak. 2023's will roll off the line as the calendar year ends. That kind of sucks having a model year old truck so soon. GMC will milk making changes no doubt.

I'm hoping you mean '24's will roll off EOY. I hope if there is a strike, it will be short to meet this guestimate.

No I mean model year 2023 AT4 and X are still being produced. I read on the forum GM news of some plant shutdowns due to lack of parts. So, expected 2023's will be delayed closer to EOY 2023 as the days pass. Since we've only seen the 2024 HD AT4 2500. I cannot see GM introducing a 2024 1500 AT4 before they can clear inventory. I just looked at Autotrader and the New 2023 AT4X's are being discounted $4-5k in New England.

According to GM Authority, the start of regular production (SORP) for the 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 kicked off on July 17th, 2023. The 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 will continue to be produced at the GM Fort Wayne plant in Indiana and GM Silao plant in Mexico. So either FT Wayne is tooled to build both '23 and '24 trucks, which I have a hard time believing, or else it's just 2024. And I believe only the Ft Wayne plant is building the 3L Baby Duramax, which also leads to believe that they're only building the '24's because they're already built and ready for transit.

Maybe the '23's are being built in Mexico.
