Hello all,

My name is Joe Masone and have looked from New Hampshire to Florida for a 2024 2500 gas AT4. Nothing, nothing and did I say nothing available anywhere. So, I ordered one during the strike. Don’t know how many strikes I have, but I am going to keep up the effort!! So, I am hoping now that this strike is coming to an end. I am hoping the build doesn’t take 6 months.

Does anyone have experience in this area? What am I going to expect when this thing rolls off the line. Can’t wait…

When I search inventory on the GMC website I see a few within 500 miles of me (northeast FL). Many more in transit but a few that indicate on the lot. I have no idea how current that information is. I recently changed my thoughts on a 2500 gasser and pretty sure if I will order a 1500 AT4X. If the salesman will ever call me back.......

So many times I did the same. The ones in transit were ordered and the ones on the ground were for others. They do not take them off the list for some reason. Aggravating

They just don't make many. When I go out to 2000 miles on my search it only comes up with 137 and most of those are in transit.

I flew out and drove my AT4 3500 home over 600 miles on day 2 of strike. I didn’t want to rely on getting my order built. After 2 months my order was not allocated so I searched

Ordered mine at the end of July. Just got word that it was built and waiting for transit. Probably be at least another 4 weeks. I found the same thing when searching online. The vast majority of inventory showing at different dealerships are already sold. Weird system for sure.

The only way to know if any of the "in transit" vehicles are available is to call the dealerships. I had to widen my search to 2K miles for my '24 3500 AT4 and finally found one on my 18th call. I traded in my '18 Silverado and had to make a 647 mile (each way) trip to ensure I got it.

I was able to locate a 2023 AT4 fully loaded in September in Connecticut and the NH dealer was able to do a trade for it. I started looking at the end of July, and had a 2024 on order but I got lucky with exactly what I wanted.

Call Royal GMC in Sussex County New Jersey. That’s where I got my 1500 AT4. I have seen several on the lot as of a week ago. Ask for Ian

I called at least 15 different dealerships across the country to find my truck. From the GMC website I built the truck I wanted then expanded the distance to 2000 miles. I ended up having a dealership about 5 hours away call me back that said the one on the GMC website was sold but they had another one coming in with an identical build sheet. I put a deposit down that day which was about a month ago October 5th. The truck had been built but was 'on hold' at the Flint assembly plant. We were not sure how long it would take before it shipped. Ended up shipping within a week and made it to the dealership on October 20th. The dealership is within 30 min of the rail head it was shipped to. I ended up driving a little over 5 hours each way to get the truck. I know I got lucky in getting the truck so quickly especially with the strike going on right now but really think just reaching out to a large number of dealers helped find one that had one on the way.

That sucks! At least it should get better soon since UAW struck a deal with GM on Monday October 30th.
