Apple car play

2021 1500 at4 w 3.0L.

Last week wireless apple car play was working fine. Then while driving it quit.
It’ll work it I plug the phone in the port but nothing wirelessly.
Anyone else. I googled and found a few that had the same thing happen recently.
Bluetooth connects fine for phone calls.

After the last software update i'm having the same exact issues with car play. Although mine usually won't work at all. Says CarPlay Unavailable

I’ve tried rebooting. Erased my phone from the truck and set it up again. Nothing. Weird thing is my apple car play works fine w my phone in my work van but it’s a dodge.
One thing I did notice is in truck settings there’s an option for Wi-Fi networks. When I click add network, it used to pick up networks or hotspots. Now it won’t find any networks. Kinda why I’m thinking it’s the truck.

Same issue here on my AT4X

I'm shocked this is not being fixed more quickly. Wired only works on both vehicles, bluetooth audio connects fine but no bluetooth carplay.

I was able to get the carplay over bluetooth to work if I connected to the truck wifi which makes me think bluetooth carplay is about to become a paid feature but who knows.

2024 AT4 HD

Every few days Car Play will not connect. Nothing I do at that time fixes it. Restart phone, turn off truck, both....Nothing works, and I'm stuck using that google garbage. Later in the day, CarPlay connects and works perfectly. I have no idea what the F is happening. Grrrr.

Im sure some of you already know this but using an “Apple” cord works better than non Apple plugs. Obviously this doesn’t apply to wireless but just throwing that out there as OEM with Apple seems to be an issue sometimes.

I found something interesting today. I had the the airplay skipping issue. So I rebooted the phone and issue still persisted. I went to the bluetooth setting on my phone to “forget device“ and start over. I had music playing from Apple Music and airplay was working on the truck but… my phone was showing myGMC as disconnected...

So I forgot my phone on the truck Then attempted to re-pair. MyGMC was still on my phone but disconnected still. I thought maybe this was my wife’s Acadia. My truck never showed up in new devices until I forgot the disconnected myGMC on my phone.

Now I have re-paired and Airplay is working as before, however on my phone it still says “disconnected”. Better never stops!!!
