As a new 2024 GMC AT4 HD owner I was wondering if anyone has upgraded the front bucket seats? I think if you buy the AT4X or EV you get like the Denali seat leather? Is that the only difference is the actual leather covering? Is the cushioning the same between AT4 bucket seats on all 3 AT4 models (AT4, AT4X, AT4EV) or actual physical differences between AT4 model seat constructions?

Seating seems stiff on long drives in my new AT4 so seeing if it’s just me or does anyone feel the same and have you changed out seats at all?

Thanks in advance for your reply!

Yes, mine are a bit stiff (3500HD-AT4) but so is the ride. If I adjust mine I can usually find a supportive position, but I am thinking some of the stiffness is needing to soften the suspension with an air ride shock. Can't afford a new seat, and these look good. The other problem I have is the position was set by somebody else and always goes back to that position upon start up? Anyone know how to reset it to a new driver?

Totally agree! I hate mine too! I’m sure it’s stupid expensive but would love to change them out with something better if the Denali or AT4EV seats are better

Yeah the seats on my 24’ at4 HD aren’t the best but aren’t the worst either. My 19’ ram 1500 had better bottom cushion support.

Hate to admit it but my 2024 GMC AT4X 2500HD AEV Edition, beautiful leather AEV badged massage seats, heated/cooled/ventilated front and rear seats, and all the gizmos, are very uncomfortable. Each time, I have to completely dial out Lumbar, Shoulder, Bolster before I drive. I'm considering getting seat covers; stupid huh? AEV badged leather premier seats and uncomfortable.

Seat positions 1 and 2 follow keys 1 and 2. You need to save a seat position in Position 1 and 2 on the driver door panel and recall them if not sure which key you are using. The position also memorizes side mirror positions. Shame there is no passenger seat position storage and recall. Luckily the only person who'd ever sit in the passenger seat is my wife and I have left the passenger seat position where she set it.

I don't know if this will apply to the HD seats but on my 1500 22 refresh - the seats were so hard and uncomfortable at first I was shocked! Now, after just over a year they must have broken in a lot because they are completely fine and feel normal. Hopefully, you guys will find the same with the HD seats.

I very much enjoy my 2500 AT4X seats. Have been on a few 400 mile road trips and no complaints from me or the passengers.

I do miss the arm rest that was on my 2006 2500.

AT4X are different seats. Not sure what those are like as I’ve never sat in one.

The AT4X AEV Edition seats may be different with massage and other functions and ventilated seats. They look luxurious but lack the cushioning unlike leather seats in my Mercedes.

Your AT4x AEV seats are the exact same as my AT4X non AEV seats aside from the AEV embroidered front seat headrests.

So my understanding is that the leather quality is different between AT4 and AT4X/AEV seats only? Cushioning is still the same construction and material?
