Anyone else have a lower glove box that won't stay closed?

Sometimes I come out to the truck in the garage or a parking lot somewhere and the glove box (the lower one) is just open. I've closed it, held it, pressed it, tried everything to get it really closed and sometimes a day or two goes by but it always eventually ends up open.

Anyone else have this? Any fixes? I hate to take it to a dealer for this.

So I finally had enough with this yesterday when it kept opening every 5 minutes during my drive home. In case anyone else ever has this issue - for me at least - the issue is it was not installed properly seated on the hinges. The glovebox is designed to come out due to access to replace cabin air filter.

So, I took it out completely to inspect and when I reinstalled the door I did so properly. It now closes easily, doesn't rub on the dash at the top face, and latches correctly on both sides.

Thought I'd update in case anyone in the future ever comes searching for this issue with their own glovebox door.

Thanks for the heads up and reply here Slythetove! My lower glove box latches well and stays closed but my upper one a bit of a problem. It requires a swift hit of your fist to the right of the open button in order to unlatch. I need to see if I can adjust something to solve this. I'm the same way, hate to take it back to my dealer for this.

It seems like everyone’s upper box sticks and won’t open properly! I haven’t yet even tried on that one. Maybe I should …
