Just put on the Ronin 5” stubby antenna. Was exactly what I was hoping for in looks and retaining functionality. Got me wondering who prefers what style though.

Stock, bullet, stubby, or something else?

You actually don’t need anything.. on Amazon they sell a cap that acts like the antenna…. Nearly smooth with the trim

I’d love to know how you did this. Looks great! How’s the reception?
I had a stubby antenna which had reduced reception. Wanted a cleaner look so switched back to OEM antenna. I unbolted the antenna base (2 screws) which is under the plastic trim piece that pops off. Screwed the OEM antenna back on the base and turned it sideways in the gap between the fender and frame and zip tied the antenna in place. I used a body plug from a plug kit on Amazon to fill the hole. The hole is too large for the barbs on the plug to catch anything so I made a backer plate out of a piece of plastic and drilled a hole it so the barbs on the plug go through the backer plate and hold it secure. Would be easy to pull the plug out and put antenna back to normal. Reception seems same as stock, at least very close, but better for sure than the stubby.

I use a BuiltRight industries stubby antenna. I don't listen to the radio so no idea on reception but it looks nicer.

The hidden antenna idea that john151ama posted above is something I would consider.

I stick to the factory antenna since I often listen to FM stations where signal drops down when travelling through BC mountains.

Same here in AK. Too much signal loss on the stubbies.

Johnv76 - I do like the AT4X antennae above - is that the sierra HD antenna?

It's a antenna i picked up at autozone. It's longer then a stubby one, but is lower then the roof line. Keeps the same reception as the OEM one, just shorter so it's not smacking my garage door lol.

Going against the trend, I'd like something longer than stock to act as height guide in parking lots.
Srock on my '25 sits below the shark fin and right at roof height

Thats a good idea but I avoid parking garages like the plague if driving my truck. Last time at the hospital I thought the antenna was going to break off there in my 2015 1500. Never did touch the top of the truck though.

I couldn’t’t tell you a single radio station in my area. Satellite or Amazon Music. Even better, silence.
