AMP vs RC retractable running boards?

I've not used RC's yet, but I can fully endorse the AMP steps. I make it a point to install them first on all of my vehicles.

X2! If the Amp steps aren't installed at the factory/dealership when I first get the truck...they soon will be after the fact. The only time I ever did something different was when I installed a set of RSE's (Rock Slide Engineering) on my '21 Jeep Wrangler 392. They were more durable for offroad than the Amp's in the same application.

For what I can see the RC are way more PIA to install the wiring harness and door magnets since it does not use the OBD port you need to wire all 4 doors
The boards and linkage look as good as the AMP
They are dual motor but IMO a good high power single motorper side is as good a s 2 small motrs per side partly a marketing gimmick
Really need to know the amp output and gear ratio to compare single vs dual

The AMPs on my '18 2500HD Denali were not reliable and very unhandy for the taller egress/ingress when they decided to glitch out. Had to have em serviced a half dozen times (would not go down or sometimes wouldn't go up)....the last 6-8 months I owned the truck they operated fine though.

The RC E boards on my 1500 AT4 are about a month old now...so far so good. My SIL has had the same E boards on his 2500 for almost a year with no complaints.

Better price on the RC also.

Truck came without any running boards - shorter passengers have been complaining that it is too big of a step to get in.

I like clean the look of the truck without them, but the whining passengers got me thinking a bit more about it.

After doing a bit of research I decided to order a set of PSR51920 Rough Country Power Running Boards (E-Boards) - hopefully get them in the next few days.

Going to install them myself, will post up some pics of the truck before and after and report back on the install procedure.
