I'm going to have the Amp steps installed tomorrow in place of the high clearance steps the AT4X came with. On a past truck, the deployable steps could be controlled from inside the cab. So if I thought there was going to be a lot of ice accumulation, I'd set them not to deploy. Since the Amp steps are aftermarket, is there a way to control them manually?

Not able to control the Amp steps manually. I can disconnect the wire harness from its female connector and that will “lock” them out, in their down position. As far as controlling the steps… going up or down, I’m not able to do that.
