AC fan

I have same issue here. 23 AT4X. Doesn't happen always but it acts like when you receive a phone call and the fan goes down when you answer the call. Mentioned it in the GMC survey that was sent this week. Pointless to take it to a dealer as it doesn't always happen.

Same issue with the speech services for Google notification. Doesn't always pop up. But when it does it takes about a block before it comes up on the screen after you have already started driving. Just another distraction to deal with when driving I guess.

does it change if climate control is on auto vs manual setting. auto has its on fan speed settings (low medium high) and they will decrease when you get a phone call or do voice recognition but i dont believe it does when you have the climate on manual mode.

My '22 refresh starts off blowing high in AUTO but as soon as my start up cycle ends the fan speed speed drops drastically. My thought is it coincides with CarPlay connecting. If a take a call or listen to a text in Apple CarPlay the fan seems to come to full speed after the CarPlay call or text is complete but I've only recently noticed that. It has frustrated me to no end.

I am having the same problem on my 2023 AT4X. I am thinking it has something to do with Google Speech Recognition because I keep getting a notice that this service is not available while driving... the problem is that I had not tried to use it. Both the fan speed issue and the errant notices from Google are distracting to me while driving because you have to deal with them both. If you don't deal with them, the problems don't go away!

To alleviate the problem, I can either press the fan speed "up" button and then return to "Auto" mode, or I can press the steering wheel button to make a call and then hang up without placing the call. Either way it takes the system out of limbo and lets the AC fan speed work as it should.

115 in the shade, start up truck ,start AC ,back up pull out roll 10 feet ,and the fan completely shuts off every time, took it to dealer. We’re not sure what’s going on.

Dealer told me to disconnect battery for a while and hook it back up. I did that and unpaired my phone, forget connection to the truck on my phone and paired the Bluetooth again. It seemed to fix the google notification but the fan issue seems to have gotten worse. The auto function in the hvac doesn't seem to work properly either. I sure hope GM comes with an update for these issues.

Yes, there is a setting that you can change for the fan speed in the menu. low, medium, high. I have it set on medium and it never gets there. Even manually adjusting the fan speed button it just stays on low.

Ive got this as well. 23 1500 AT4. Posted on a another forum and apparently its a known issue without a fix right now. Started after the last over the air update. I have to either go to manual climate control then back to auto or press the mute button on the steering wheel twice to get the fan speed back up. So frustrating.

I guess i am old school but i turn off the A/C before i shut off the truck. When i get back in it I start it and then let it run for 5-10 seconds and then turn the A/C on and i don't have that problem.

I’ll try anything nearly had a wreck looking for the fan switch and driving left right, it’s 115 in the shade here

'23 same. Starts high, almost immediately switches to low, temp is definitely not satisfied. I play the manual fan to auto button also.
