$600 to change AT4 transmission fluid?

I was draw dropped when I was told by my local and very far shop, that replacing transmission fluid and filter to Amsoil would be almost $600. Said its something about all the labor of removing skids plates etc...

Anyone else have this experience. About to get the fluid and crawl under it myself, anything I need to know.

Unfortunately, that sounds about right. The labor costs are through the roof. I did mine on my '22 AT4X. It's not too difficult. YouTube is your friend!

Stuff like this do yourself. It adds more tools to your toolbox and you save a lot of money.

Gives you a pretty good idea on how to do it.

A heads up on the fill plug though, its in there real good with the sealant they put on from factory. So have a good 8mm allen so as not to bugger the plug.
