6.2 oil consumption

s this normal to those motors, my truck have 2200 miles and looks like she is burning oil, I pull the deep stick earlier and show 1/2 quart low at only 1500 miles .
My truck will not make it from oil change to next oil change without having to add 1-2 quarts. This has happened from the very beginning ….. there seems to be a problem.

Had zero issues with my 6.2 between oil changes. I am not towing and lots of highway miles.

I'm at 3100 miles on my 6.2 and changed oil early at 1500 miles and no oil was used and none since then up to 3100. Very light use on the truck to date. I towed a 6x10 open trailer with 2 dual sport motorcycles on it about 450 miles on a trip and I hauled a motorcycle in the bed at 965 miles on a trip. The rest of the mileage has been local around where I live. The truck is not a daily driver it sits a lot in a garage. Bought it new back in 1/2023.

My 2022 AT4 6.2L I noticed it consuming oil at less than 3500miles on the vehicle when it started to ping me that my oil was low. WTH??? I bought the truck brand new with 50miles on it. When I checked the dipstick, it was completely dry and took two full quarts of dexos™1 0W-20 Full Synthetic Motor Oil to bring it to a full level. After that experience I have been taking it into the GMC dealership every 700-1k miles to have an oil consumption test done on it and it is always down at or over a quart of oil which they conveniently top it off. They have been documenting the oil consumption's since I have purchase this truck back in Jan 29, 2022. I am now at over 17k miles and coming up on my 3yr anniversary of the truck purchase this coming January 29, 2025. I will be discussing "what is next?" with that dealership and my truck issues after the warranty falls off and that this needs to be fixed as I am not going to be continuing to carry spare quarts of oil in my truck to use every 1500 miles so that it doesn't run low. It is ridicules that a brand new vehicle eats oil like this. My '06 5.3 Silverado never ate oil.
