305/65r18

I have an AT4X in bound. Suppose to be built next week.

I like the stock wheel so I plan to keep it. I also immediately plan to swap tires and go to a 275/70R18.

However has anyone tried a 305/65R18

Congrats on the AT4x- you gonna love it. Pics or it didn’t happen when you get it! Now the bad news- you gonna see GMC did not leave us much room for bigger tires sadly. I went with no lift, and factory wheels. I put Toyo MT 285/70/18. No rub wheel wells full, pic on AT4x leveling kit thread. It appears you are going for wider not taller, 275/70/18 less than 1/2 taller but 1/2 wider than factory. The 305’s will be slightly taller than factory but over 2 in wider. Careful, looking at mine I believe the 305s would rub- a lot!
Also right away- get rid of chrome lug nuts and go with black lug nuts!

The reason I was thinking 305’s is yes I like a little wider footprint. Also we have a suburban and Yukon, stock tires are 275/50R22 a common swap is to a 305/45r22 on stock wheels.
Same height just wider.
