Hey all.
One of my first posts here, this forum is great and you all share some awesome info.
Picked up my truck almost 2 weeks ago, 2022 refreshed Sierra AT4 in black, loaded except carbon pro. Loving the truck so far and look forward to doing a few mods.
Had to change out the stock tires within first 500km to trade them in for a good buck for Toyo at3's 285/65R20's, so had to get the mudflap back. Tires measure 34.5x11.4 approx.
Have seen alot of this mod online with people removing the bracket completely but I thought I would try to keep them for now and modify the bracket so that the wheel liner and mudflap is held in place as stock. I cut the bracket and moved the mounting plate in approx 1", see pics. Only had black rubberized paint when I did this so forgive the bad finish.
Tires clear no problem with about 3/4" gap.

Good job. Post some pics please. I was wanting to go with the same tire size. Did you add a leveling kit?

No leveling kit yet, but will be putting on readylift 1.75" shortly.
These tires would not have fit my truck without this mod. I have about 3/8" clearance at the outer fender edge and 3/4" where I moved the flap inwards.

Checking in….do your tires rub the inside fender wall when you hit bigger bumps? I just installed the same tires, with the RC leveling kit. I had to modify the mudflaps to get clearance, but I’m still bumping the inside wall of the wheel well at times. I’ve seen videos on pulling back the liner, but not quite sure I understand exactly how to do it.

No Mine does not rub at all. Alignment may have something to do with it if your wheel are set back slightly more.
