Is it just me or does it seem like the steps dont come out far enough to easily use them getting out of the vehicle? When I to go step down my heel barely hits the board with my calf against the side of the truck. I had similar running boards on several Fords and they seemed to come out farther making it easier to get out. No issue getting in because you can still put your foot on it under the truck but getting out seems more difficult than it should.

I don’t really have a problem getting in or out on mine, but this is the first truck that I’ve had power floorboards. I can tell just looking at my truck that the power boards were a afterthought when they designed this truck. Fords power boards tuck up nice and out of sight when retracted. Plus my drivers side board light doesn’t work and my truck is only 5 months old.

I agree a 100% just got my truck and on my previous truck I had the amp running boards which are faster deploying, higher quality and more ergonomic than the ones from GM but they're also 2x as expensive.

Ive never felt like I had an issue getting out of a vehicle but this truck does make me feel like the steps should come out further. I havent had a chance yet but I was going to get under there this weekend and see if they have any adjustment.

I had the AMP boards on previous trucks as well and I liked them a lot but always had issues with lifespan on them maybe these will be better.

I’ve never had power steps, but yes, they seem a bit ‘under the truck’ when exiting. Getting in they are perfect. I’m training myself to ext the truck backwards (heel first) and it works fine.
