2024 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X AEV Edition Duramax - 983lb Payload?

The new 1500 AT4X is a good looking truck! However, I'm really surprised the payload is less then 1000 pounds on the new 1500 AT4X AEV with the diesel.

It's suspension related. Just like the Raptor and TRX, the soft suspension is designed for off road use / articulation. This reduces payload and towing capacity.
