I pulled my lights to add an enhanced led for backup. The whole system looks sealed up. Is there a way to replace old led w a newer brighter one? Or what’s the trick to opening it up?
You could purchase this cargo light mod.I pulled my lights to add an enhanced led for backup. The whole system looks sealed up. Is there a way to replace old led w a newer brighter one? Or what’s the trick to opening it up?
It’s frustrating, but GM is making it extremely difficult to add gadgets or otherwise modify their new trucks. That’s especially true of the higher trim levels. Apparently, GM’s design team has determined that their trucks are perfect for everybody as delivered, so we don’t need to add brighter lights, radios, radar detectors, or other accessories.2024 AT4X Diesel...
Yep...I bought the Diode dynamics led bulbs for 100 bucks...took the tail lights out...and then...denied...
Upset that the stupid Back-up lights are so freaking dim for one...
And also not happy that I can't just replace a bulb in the future if it goes out...
So now I need to find the easiest to wire hitch lights or a rear light-bar. I really didn't want to have to wire into the Truck.
Was lucky that AEV sells rear bumper inside brackets for my AEV truck, designed specifically for Baja Design Squadron Sport lights and the lights model I selected are blindingly bright. I selected amber lights, optionally for use while driving in thick winter fog, reversing in dark alleys and for use as rear work area light. I need to take some photos at night. In addition I have a 60" Putco tailgate light which also helps for reversing and it is wired into OEM wiring, I had it installed by the dealer.

I think it’s Diode Dynamics that has a piece that slides into your trailer hitch receiver and plugs and plays into the trailer wiring.2024 AT4X Diesel...

Just got my Putco delivered by FedEx. I'm gonna try and get it installed tomorrow or Wednesday. I'll report back how it goes and a pic after installed. I did not purchase the remote (I'm cheap!)...I can live with grounding out the programming wire to change to the pattern I like. Was lucky that AEV sells rear bumper inside brackets for my AEV truck, designed specifically for Baja Design Squadron Sport lights and the lights model I selected are blindingly bright. Remote? I don't think a remote is/was available with the light I purchased/installed. I know they have different ones.Just got my Putco delivered by FedEx.
