So I picked up my 2022 AT4 refresh on June 21st. All was well, no issues, ran like a tank. On July 6th the check engine light came on and I received an email alert to service the emissions system. I had only put one tank of fuel in it after going through the tank the dealership put in it. The check engine light turned off and came back on about 3 more times in the matter of 4 days. When I parked the truck on the evening of July 10th I heard a hissing sound coming from the front driver's side engine compartment, kind of like a pressure release of air. As I drove the truck to the dealership on July 11th, I heard a loud slapping sound coming from the engine compartment on the driver's side, like a hose had popped off and was hitting the sidewall as I drove. The drive was only a few miles and I nursed it in there. A few days later the dealership stated they received a notification from the factory that GMC issued a notice about the Duramax 3.0 having issues with exhaust leaks and stated only #2 diesel fuel should be fueled in the engine. I only put 2 tanks of #2 diesel in it and I had about 1400 miles on it. Here we are 10 days after turning the truck in for service and the dealership stated GMC has alerted them to a production problem with the catalytic converter and they need to remove the turbo and replace the exhaust components. Truck might be done next week. My truck was made in Mexico. Has anyone else experience this?
