My truck is about 4 months old, 5000km/3000m and I have started getting a message on shut down (infotainment screen) that an update is available. When you press the learn more button it says something like if you decline this update you won't be able to receive further updates in the future. I am leaning towards the decline option but haven't done it yet.

Has anyone been getting wireless updates on their vehicle and have they gone well, no problems? I have read where there have been a few that didn't go well and required a trip to the dealer and even an ECM replacement?

Since this powertrain package is 3 years old I don't see the need for software updates as mine should have a March/April version and the LZO is replacing the LM2 in 2023.

My OnStar trial package has expired and I feel that less interaction by GM and OnStar on my vehicle is postive? Thoughts?🙂

I have a 22 refreshed AT4 with about 5,000 miles on also. Last Saturday evening I was going to shut down and the message came up that an update was available and would take about 5 minutes while shut off. This was the first I have seen and have no idea what it updated. I allowed it and went in to eat. About an hour later, started up and had a message the update was successful. Ok, so what was the update?

Did the same. Don't know what they did. Maybe I don't want to know!

I also have a refreshed AT4 and received the message about a week ago. I took the

message to indicate it was updating one or more of the security certificates that allow it to support secure firmware updates. I'm basing that only on the wording of the message and the lack of any new features or fixes being mentioned.
