Hi All, I purchased my AT4X on Monday after waiting almost 7 months from reservation in Oct 2021 and well worth the wait!

With the unique DSSV suspension, there are currently no leveling option on the market, so tire/wheel combos limited on going larger than stock 275/65r18 (32”x11”)

Today Discount Tire installed The following:
285/60r20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers (33.7”x11.5”)
Fuel Rebel 6 (black) 20x9 and +1 offset

The setup barely cleared, see pics, but I plan to do very minor trimming to the plastic air dam since the AT4X doesn’t have the additional small plastic piece held on that area to increase approach angles.

I’m undecided on removing the front fender mud flaps as that would open up a lot of clearance concerns where there is a tiny rub at full lock backing up on an angled driveway.

thanks for looking and hope this helps any others out there with selecting their future combo.

Love the Nitto RG and have had them on my last two trucks. The Fuel Rebels are a great look for those not wanting too wild of a design, plus have more of a satin black finish which is perfect for those like me who prefer not a gloss look but not a true matte/flat black finish which can sometimes look cheaper IMO.

Nice! I looked at rims 'til I was blue in the face, but couldn't find the style and finish I wanted. Ended up buying the same factory rims and just picked them up from the powder coater today. I'm going a different route as 75% of my miles are highway, so I'm saving the AT,s for winter. the color is Boltz grey. I'll start a thread when I get the tires mounted next week.

Great looking rim and tire combo! That’s the look I’m going for with mine when it arrives. I went with a 20x9 0 offset Weld Ledge 6 and 295/60/20 Toyo At3 from Discount Tire. Did you reuse your OEM tpms sensors or go with the Discount Tire supplied ones? I’ve heard a few people having problems with the refreshed trucks learning the different sensors.

Brad - Funny you mentioned that as when I get home from Discount Tire, an error message popped up to recalibrate the sensors. Guess I’ll be driving back there today!

Did your 295/60r20 tires fit? Mine are 285/60 and there is no extra room for a larger tire. Already has a minor rub on the top mud flap in the wheel well at full lock, which the mud flap delete kit I’m Installing next week should eliminate.

Let us know how it goes. I was curious after hearing so many people with the issue. Seems it wasn’t a problem with the pre refresh trucks. A post in a Facebook group said they’ll have to “create” new sensors with the auto-learn function on the tpms tool.

Im still waiting on my truck to arrive at the dealer. Figured I’d be a little proactive lol. I’m going with Bilstein 5160 and 6112 along with some cognito upper arms which should raise it about an inch hopefully. There’s a metal mud flap bracket behind the inner liner you can take out for a little extra clearance. I wonder if there’s any height difference between an AT4X and a regular AT4?

Yeah, I def will let you know if they have a solution. With a level you should def be good on yours with the 295/60, they just don’t make one for the AT4X yet.

My neighbor has a 2022 refreshed AT4 and my X parked next to it looks identical, so I think it has the same factory height and rake.

Removed the mudflaps and back bracket behind wheel liner yesterday. 100% solved rubbing issue so plenty of space now. Also trimmed a little bit of the front plastic that would have connected to the extra air dam that the AT4X doesn’t have.

Plenty of tire space now and should provide room needed to articulate well w/o rubbing

Added the 1.75” Ready Lift kit today
Huge improvement and now zero rub

I read 285/65/20's will fit with no rubbing on the stock suspension and carbon pro wheels. Was about to pull the trigger on a set of Mickey Thompson's. Are you guys thinking it would require trimming? Thanks!

On my 22 refreshed AT4 the schrader sensors are 13530661, I installed a second set of rims that were a year old and the sensors are 13516165 (2018-2022) also schrader and the truck will not relearn at the tire and when I scan and try the obd relearn mode I get a communication error message. MaxiTpms TS 508 tool with current updates.

One option is to buy Autel MX sensors that can be cloned to the same numbers as the factory ones but I have until spring to decide if that's what I will do?

Hey Dobes11, looks like that is a 34.6x11.5 tire from MT. Without a level, I don’t see how that fits without some major trimming. If it stay on asphalt only maybe, but people have different opinions about what actually “clears”.

will it bolt up on the truck at the tire shop while in Park, SURE, can you use your truck off road without major rubbing, likely NO. I have a 1.75’ level, removed the mudflaps, and have trimming some plastic on airdam with one size smaller tire in a 285/60/20 which is a full 1’ shorter and it’s almost maxed out when using mild off road.

please let us know if you get the 285/65 and report back. Those Baja Boss tires I hear are awesome by the way!

Hey TexasAt4X, I did get the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss 285/65's and should have them on this week. I'll circle back.
In the meantime, here's the difference between stock and new ones.

Those def look awesome and hope they work out for you. Keep in mind the stock wheels have the offset that will give you the best chance for a taller tire. I have a 20x9 +1 Fuel Wheel which def makes a difference and limits my size some to achieve the stance desired. Thanks and good luck!
