2021 mats for 2020

I know this is a shot in the dark, but here 'goes:
I just bought a 2021 AT4 the other day. I love it. However, it seems the 2021's come with different floor mats than the 2020's. In the 2021, they are All-Weather floor mats that have snap on/off carpeting.

Is there anybody out there with the 2020 mats that would want to trade for the 2021 ones? Or do you think GM would EVER let me trade what I have to put towards the mats I want. (if you can't tell already, my sales lady was the WORST and refused to help me out with this)

Anyway, I thought it couldn't hurt to ask. Thanks for looking.

@TheGish I just bought a 2021 as well. Unfortunately my truck will be built on behalf of the hands of the Governor of Michigan, if she ever decides to open that state up again. errrrrr. What is the difference between the 2020 and 2021 floor mats?

How do you like the truck? Any complaints? Anything you wished you would of known or asked?

Yeah was kind of a surprise for me when I picked them up but they are growing on me. It’s nice because of it ever gets dirty or worn out it can be replaced and look new

I encountered the same thing on my 2021 when I picked it up. I live in South Dakota and those carpeted sections of the floor mat would look like total garbage after a month or two of winter. With that being said I splurged and purchased the AT4 floor mats for the front (has the AT4 metal badge along the side) as well as the GMC all-weather mats for the back. I plan on saving the ones it came with for summertime road trips when they wont get destroyed from mud and snow.

The difference is only in style/appearance. They are both all weather mats though.
The truck is amazing. No major complaints so far. I am averaging 18-19mpg with the duramax diesel in San Diego traffic, which is disappointing. But I’m hoping that’s just because I’m still breaking in the engine.

Was it worth the purchase? The AT4 mats look much much better than those 2021 GMC versions, huh?

Definitely worth the purchase. Even with the fact that you can remove the cloth insert in the middle you still have those metal snap buttons that I'm not too confident would look good after a couple years worth of snow and mud.

I traded my 19 for a 21 I kept my old mats seems dumb to put rubber mats to cover the carpet then add carpet on top , it seems you’d need a cover for that as well
