Hey there folks - My name is Rick and new to this forum but wanted to join and share my audio build that I've been evolving over the past 2 years in my 2021 AT4 1500. This system began as a simple upgrade from a non-Bose truck to a full blown elite audiophile system that has won national sound quality and installation awards. I dare say it may be one of the best sounding trucks on the road for sound quality.

I have a complete build log located on DIYMA (DIY Mobile Audio):

That link will provide 80+ pages of reading if you want to spend a couple evenings following my journey.

If you want something more visual to follow:

I have a full 500+ photo (w/ captions) public Facebook album here:

I know you said that you used a LLJ harness. I have contacted them multiple times about having an elite harness made and they are just too busy. Do you have any diagrams or knowledge on how to make a loopback harness so I can install a LOC - DSP - Amplifier - back to stock speaker wires. I'm not really wanting to run all new speaker wires and I'm trying to keep all factory functionality. Thanks

Excellent build, looking forward to going through the full writeup. I bet it sounds fantastic! I’ve had both Mosconi and Focal in previous vehicles, and got to listen to a full Utopia build in my boss’s truck not too long ago.

This is beautiful. I’m looking to upgrade my system, but I’m not going hardcore/competition levels - I just want overall better quality. I already added the Kicker sub that’s offered from GMC. I’m deciding between Focal, Audiofrog, and Morel for door speakers… just not sure what will sound best for someone who listens to 60% country, 30% alternative/folk, and 10% rap.

@Rameses I went with a full AudioControl setup other than the sub, went JL with that. I could tell a difference just with replacing the factory speakers with the AudioControl speakers run off of the bose amp and doing a bunch of sound deadening. Now that they are amplified and tuned, they are a little underwhelming and very sensitive to power. I personally am a BIG fan of Focal (It's what I'm currently running in my Audi RS5) but I have heard great things about Audiofrog. Ill probably be swapping my speakers out soon to something that can handle a little more power and give me the Sound Quality at the Level of volume im looking for. But anything is better than the factory "Blows" speakers.
