2" suspension lift?

Looking to purchase a 2024 Sierra 1500 AT4. The dealer stated that if you level the front then it would actually be a 4 inch lift. Is that true? If so, is it because there is a 2 inch rake?

Also, has anyone put 35s on their AT4 and do they fit without rubbing?

Lastly, if you wanted to get a 3 inch total lift, would you just need to add a one inch lift to the existing two inch suspension lift? Pardon my ignorance on this.

I can tell you that 35s still require trimming even with a 2in ready lift sst kit on method 701 17x8.5 0 offset.
That kit is 2in in front over stock at4 and it’s a 3in block in the rear. So 4inches higher in front.
I just started searching for what people do with their rear side of front fender to clear. My mud flaps were already trimmed but I’m still rubbing.

Some of the issue is hitting the upper control arm if running stock wheels. With stock wheels, 33s, and this 2in ready lift kit it was super close. Once I put the 33s with the methods with a 0 offset it spaced it out enough where that’s not a concern.
Then went to 35s and need to do something with the backside of the front fenders. The fronts are ziptied back pretty far and just barely clear.

Do you have a pic of yours? what did it cost to ready lift level and did you have the dealership do it?

Those are 18’s, and the factory Duratracs, and I think they are actually 32”

Yes, the AT4 comes with a 2” lift so in order to level the truck you can lift the front end up by 2” with a leveling kit or you can lower the rear by 2”.
Most people choose to level the front with the leveling kit. I did this and put 35x12.5x17’s. It took some mods and trimming to limit the running. Another option may be to run 11.5” width tires, or 34’s.

The dealer said standard 1500 have 2 in lift on back with a rake and then the at4 has the added two inch suspension lift added on top so the front is tech 2 in higher than a normal 1500. If you add 2 inch level would it then be a 4 inch total?

Yes, if you add a 2” leveling kit to the 2” lift already installed on the AT4 you will have a 4” total lift in the front.

I’m not sure how well the 35x11.5’ will fit, but I can only imagine they will have less rubbing than my 35x12.5’s. I have very minimal rubbing though. You’ll also need to be mindful of your wheel offset when considered rubbing. An aggressive offset may have additional rubbing issues.

I wanted to avoid an offset if possible. Just my taste to not have one. Did you have to trim a lot when you did the 35x12.5? I plan to have 20 in rims but assume that doesn’t do anything.

Also. Do you get added height if you go with a 35 inch tire over a 32? My buddy and I debated this.

To fit the 35x12.5 I removed the mudflap brackets and did some trimming. I thing too difficult.

Yes, 35’s will make your truck slightly taller. 1.5” taller than 32’s, assuming the measurements are exact.

Do you need an alignment if you level the truck and have original tires on it?

Does it make the most sense to get new tires then level and align?

Yes, you will need an alignment after installing the leveling kit. Be sure to get a leveling kit with UCA’s. The stock UCA’s won’t be able to handle the additional lift.

You’ll need the level installed before you can install the larger tires. You should not need an alignment for new tires though, so you can do those later if you want.
