Has anyone set up a 22+ 1500 dmax refresh model to have a dual battery setup? Looking for posts on here and found one where someones done it to a 2500 but the 1500 is looking kind of tight under the hood. I've seen some posts on youtube from donslife where he puts an air compressor in the side wall area but idk if a battery would fit. Looking for ideas/recommendations

I know you are looking for someone who has done a dual battery setup under the hood but I'll try to talk you out of it. What functionality are you looking for? For dead starting battery protection I use a jump starter box like the GBX75 from NOCO. For accessory support like powering a portable refrigerator I prefer a separate LiFePO4 battery and DC-DC charger. I did mount an air compressor in the second battery tray of a 2015 Sierra 1500.

Was just liking the idea of having any additional accessories (winch, lights, compressor, stereo, etc) isolated from the main starter battery. Plus the option as a back up jump like you mentioned
