1500 AT4X AEV Full body Matte PPF w/ custom badges

hey all… I was tossed on doing clear PPF or matte. Searched for any newer AT4’s with matte and didn’t find much of anything. Kids wanted matte and wife and I were leaning gloss. We were talked into matte with gloss highlights. We had to custom paint the emblems and… decided to drop the red and go with copper highlights with gloss black trim (dropped Sierra and AEV off back). We also matched the calipers to the copper color. All said and done, we love the matte finish.

Did you add the side steps? I have the 3.0 diesel AT4X and love it but the rock slides don’t provide enough space if someone needs an actual step Truck looks awesome.

Yes I added the steps to the rock slides. Got them at Shopchevyparts.com they were a few hundred less than the dealer.

Thank you! I started with the idea of just the front half in clear that morphed into doing the entire truck in matte.

Can you say more about “the rock slides don’t provide enough space if someone needs an actual step”? I’d heard others say the same before I bought my AT4X but now that I have my truck I love the high clearance step and find it to be very functional.

It looks sexy ATM. I would like follow up pictures in 6 months. My co-worker was not happy with his PFF as he had black matte over silver body on his Corvette and any little scratch showed the silver through and made the scratches look 10x worse.

I will absolutely post follow up pics. This is the first vehicle that I have done matte and full body. When I asked how durable the film was, they explained that the material is "self healing" and was warranted for 10 years. Not sure that covers scratches.
