Where exactly are the fuel filters underneath the truck? I briefly climbed underneath there to see where they’re at, and I don’t see them.

There is only 1 filter. Here is a b/w picture out of the Duramax supplement manual...

Is this something the dealer does during a standard serivice?

Two service instances in last 12,000 miles. One last winter trip left to do this year, driving through mountain roads, snow and slush. I'll wait until spring time to take it in for a service.

Amazon has the filters for the diesels as cheap as I've seen. $8 cheaper than Rock Auto and $6 dollars cheaper than I've bought from the Amazon before.

Just in time to replace before winter sets in.

Just the friendly winter reminder if your filter life is <50%.

Here is a question for you. I just replaced mine and for some reason, I cannot reset the life in the dash. I click on fuel filter and yes to reset but it keeps defaulting to the current filter life. Any thoughts? I just reset the oil and engine filter the same way and no issues. Have you had this problem?

Push the Start button for like 7-10 seconds, putting truck into service mode, foot off brake.

Then reset monitor. Push Start button again to shut dash off and restart engine.

Should be reset. The filter life monitor is kinda flaky. Sometimes it will reset with truck running and other times not.

Thanks!! Doing it that way did the trick! 🙌

You would have to tell them to change it. I got the dealership to change mine last winter and after this winter I’ll get them to do it again.
