Heated seats that turn on automatically when truck turns on?

All of my previous vehicles had either physical switches (tundra, sequoia, etc) or the ability to remember that your heated seat was on when you turned the vehicle off and would automatically turn them back on when you started it back up within 30 minutes or so (Bronco Sport). Is there a hack or module or something that we can manipulate to enable this functionality? Seems every time I get in the truck I'm hitting the heated seat and steering wheel button when I just want it on if the outdoor temp is like 60 or below by default. Would be an awesome thing to have the ability to control.

I'm not talking about remote start. I mean when I walk out to the truck and start it up, it would be nice if they retained memory and turned on automatically

I'm not talking about remote start. They will come on automatically - just not at 60 degrees. Here's a picture from the manual about the auto settings in personalization. Maybe someone else can give you the specific definition of "cool" (for heated) or "warm" (for ventilated) because I don't know the exact temp requirements but my ventilated seats have often come on automatically in the warm temps we have here in central Texas. Really interesting is they don't just go full on either - they go on one, two, or three dots depending on how hot it is. I'm assuming based on the manual the heated will also detect and come on at various levels but I won't know for sure until it gets colder (40s and 50s) in a couple weeks.

Oh, sorry, I assumed incorrectly. I'll look into it. Mine don't come on automatically.

All good! That's why we're all here to ask questions and share information. Probably just not set in the settings.

I don't have those settings but I do have heated and cooled seats in my 2021 AT 4.

I have a 22 refresh so that is definitely interesting. I’m surprised they haven’t had that previously. Did you say it does come on with remote start when cold outside?

yeah, it does come on but takes a good 5-6 minutes for the seats to heat up. Steering wheel heats up immediately.

Hopefully someone with a pre refresh will come in with some info. Maybe there’s a way to program them into auto mode without remote start or something.

I have 2022 built in December 2021 pre refresh. I still don't have the chip for the seats.

Yes mine come on and depending on temperature the heated seats will have 1/2/3 red lights on the button

I have a 2022 AT4x. The seats and steering wheel come on when I start up if it is cool outside. The seats come on max (3 red lights). I will have to look, but as I recall, there was a place in the settings to put the temp I wanted for heated stuff to come on and a place to put temp for cool seats to come on- they also come on if the temp is hot outside.

My seats did this automatically as well when I first started it up (temp is now in the 20's here). To be honest, they make me incredibly uncomfortable. My lovely wife loves them, but when they are on after a while I feel like I need to...well...poop.

I apologize for the TMI. 😬
