Long winded, my apologies up front. I ordered a X4S thru realtruck online with the help of John thru the chat. Cover is for a 2023 1500 AT4X, 80130 is the part number that came up for the truck. Shipped to my door in 4 days, great! Installation of the front weatherstripping and side rails went smooth. After installing the fasteners into the adjustment slots upfront and unrolling the cover I ran into a problem. with the cover pushed as far forward as can be the locking mechanism is still passed the rear rail brackets. So NOW I check the packaging and the box shows 19-22 5’10” bed? On the chat it claims order thru a rep and it is guaranteed to fit. So I call customer service and they claim it’s the same and nothing changed between 22-23 and 5’10” should fit the 5’8” bed. I ended up sending photos to customer service to show them what’s going on. Needless to say I’d have to take out the first mounting bolts and have the cover rubbing the cab to make the cover latch. I feel like the cover isn’t right so I need some help from X4S cover owners on a 5’8” bed. This cover measures roughly 71.75 front to back (not measuring the front rubber strip). Is this the wrong cover length or maybe packaging error?

Part number matches the one I have installed on my 2022 refresh with 5’-8” bed, the product description for that part number is 5’-10” but it fits perfectly on mine…

Guessing it is an issue with what BAK put in the box, call them next. My first cover had a manufacturing defect and they shipped me a new rolly part with just a couple of pics in an email, they were really easy to work with.

Thank you for the reply. Good to hear it was the correct part number and the discription just needs to be updated to 19-23. They side rails look to fit right so it does appear to be a simple mix up with the cover when things were originally boxed. I was able to speak with support yesterday around 3pm and get photo sent to them. Hopefully they can determine it’s just the wrong length cover from the photos and get one out today or Monday.
